bijou market is this weekend, and if you are in utah, you don't want to miss it! they have some fantastic stuff. i'm coveting the baby moccasins made by freshly picked. although, i don't have any plans for using them soon.

if you are in the area, you must stop by! i'm really sad that i can't.

L dot A dot
now that we are finally living in l.a. instead of outside of l.a. we have the chance to do some really fun things together. on friday night we went to the new venice beach skate park and watched some skating.
then headed up to the santa monica third street promenade for some window shopping and to watch the street performers. the tappers weren't there on friday. i was sad.
on saturday i had to take a test at ucla, so after it was over i headed over to sprinkles to get some halloween cupcakes. they were delicious. my mouth is still watering from the strawberry kind.
davis doesn't have school tomorrow, but has to visit some l.a. cultural sights for a class assignment so as of right now the plan is to visit the l.a. zoo, and the hammer museum. exciting.

davis and i moved into our own apartment in l.a. last saturday. we are loving that we have our own space, since we've been living with parents and grandmas since may. moving into a new place is always exciting because it means that i get to decorate. this time is especially exciting because i have a vintage (really it's just old, but i'll make it sound nice by saying vintage) couch that i'm pretty sure belonged to my grandparents at one point i'm going to recover. i've found the material i want to use at mood, and i just need to go get it cut.
along with our new place, can i just brag that we have a double sink! i know this sounds dumb to most people but davis and i have had one sink for most of our marriage. this may not sound like a big deal, but have you tried to do dishes in a single sink. it's so frustrating. where do you put the dishes that you've washed until you can rinse them? anyway, i did dishes today, and i loved it. no more single sink confusion/frustration.
happy birthday dana!

remember when you were a kid and people would tell you that someday your siblings are going to be your best friends? You then proceeded to cringe and dry heave thinking about having to hang out with them. I just got back from a two week long trip to utah and my "someday" has happened. my parents went on a 16 day trip to europe that included a mediterranean cruise and a few other places. since my dad owns his own business he decided to fly me out to utah to run the store while he was gone, and babysit the kids. since courtney is 17 and mckay (the responsible one, as he calls himself) is 12 it's not so much babysitting as hanging out. i can officially say that courtney is my best friend (davis and i disagree on this point, he says you can only have one best friend and i think you can have a handful). i already miss those two and wish we could hang out everyday.
i know it appears that mckay isn't in this picture, but he is. if you look to the left of courtney's head you'll see part of his head, and a little eye. there he is...
while looking for apartments yesterday i looked up at an apartment building and thought "hmmmm, how do i know that building?" I then realized that it is Rachel Zoe's apartment building. If any of you share my guilty pleasure of watching The Rachel Zoe Project, then you too would potentially recognize this.
